Hello, and welcome to the second day of Radio Brunel’s marathon 120 hour non-stop broadcast. If you have been donating, then we send you a massive thank you! We’ve had some great 6 hour shows so far, and all our shows have done a fantastic job. We hope you’ve enjoyed listening to them! We have 6 hours of Jazz coming up at 12pm, then the Audio Kings will be taking over from 6pm tonight. So much to look forward too. RAG week’s first show is almost over. However, we will be broadcasting for another 117 hours, so please keep donating. We have a fantastic timetable of shows for the week, plenty of challenges and much more. Keep listening in and keep donating!

This week is RAG (Raising and Giving) week at Brunel. We’re helping to raise money for deserving charities by broadcasting 24 hours a day for a week – that’s 120 hours of non-stop broadcasting!

Here’s the timetable:

Monday 16th

Tuesday 17th

A Diverse and Cultural Year Ahead

Everything is certainly in full swing at the moment. We have a full roster of shows which is really showcasing everything that Brunel University has to offer. Radio Brunel, in recent years, has really been showcasing all sorts of diverse talents and cultures that the university has to offer and this year is no different. The talent really inspires others to get involved and I am honored to be involved.

In other news, the Leveson enquiry has gotten fully underway with a whole host of celebrities that people actually know complaining at the News Of The World for their demeaning ways of investigation. It certainly seems like everyone is jumping on this bandwagon and getting a piece of the action. Last I heard was that JK Rowling was providing evidence. At least the News of the World didn’t steal the Harry Potter scripts!

Hello to all DJ’s of the future,

This is the opportunity for you to join Radio Brunel, the university’s official student radio station. Our station is run by volunteers like yourself and has been for the last 50 years so don’t miss out on this opportunity to truely enhance your university experience.

This is my 4th year as a part of Radio Brunel and it is an amazing experience and something I will never forget. I want other students to know how good this experience can be. All I can say is, DON’T MISS OUT!
